Andy Warhol once said that the most exciting attractions are between two opposites that never meet. Naïf Comme Le Couteau (Naive as a knife) is a title that gives clues on what to expect.

Alexandre Varlet is a 23-year-old French singer-songwriter from La Rochelle. He recently dropped out of university to try his luck in music.

His debut album is both sensual and harsh, intimate and distant. On the one hand, it sounds like a very confident musician's work but on the other hand it keeps a profound sense of doubt.
