B'ee is the man behind In Gowan Ring and Birch Book. Since the mid 90s, this prolific American singer-songwriter has recorded numerous records, many of them self-released as hand-made limited editions.

On this 7", B'ee gives his very own folk take on two tracks that he has a fondness for.

"Taking Wing" is a cover of a song by Mark Fry, the English psychedelic folk musician and painter. It appears at the end of I Lived In Trees, an album that Fry recorded with The A. Lords.

"Jacob Fleet" is a cover of a song by English post-punk band And Also The Trees. It is taken from their synth-infused album Green Is The Sea.

Taking Wing / Jacob Fleet 7" comes in a recycled grey cardstock silk-printed sleeve. Half of the sleeves are printed with red ink. The other half with black ink.

Excellent medieval folk, IGR, & those with ears to hear. I love the sense of mysticism and deep, introspective ponder this album conveys, & the honest down-to-earth folky lyrics. Simply wonderful yet soulfully rich. Highlights for me are tracks 2, 5, 6, & 12. IGR truly capture what I feel is an authentic sense of a medieval bard at a woodland rill pondering the mysteries of life. Highly recommended. 8.5+/10. Alrihkh
